ARTEO x SR4ALLGALLERY

As part of The Exploration Company’s “Mission Possible,” the ARTEO x Space Renaissance 4 All Gallery send three artistic voices (amongst others) beyond the stratosphere—voices chosen to embody not only artistic excellence but also the beauty of difference: female, male, non-binary. The artists’ cultural roots span Austria, Germany, Colombia, Indonesia, the UK and New Zealand—extending the gallery’s reach from Earth to orbit in both geography and vision.

Fransisca Tan (AT) curated and co-produced the artworks for ARTEO. They embrace the paradox of distance and intimacy: viewing Earth from afar, while touching its elemental core. Each work is a fragment – of data, of planet, of perception:

A golden gram from a sunlit forest, a ghostly acetate print mourning species lost, a punctured veil of simulation: these are not merely materials, but metaphors for how we see, frame, and sometimes forget our fragile world.

The gesture of launching art into space is not about escape, but return. It loops our technological gaze (like with the Earth observation data used, or particle cloud renderings created) back into feeling. These works remind us that Earth is not a distant blue marble, but a living texture of presence and absence. By sending these pieces into orbit, we ask: how does seeing the Earth from afar change the way we interact with it?

This is art in motion—liquified, fading, estranged and now, weightless.

Join us as we launch art not just into space, but into new ways of looking.

ART WORKS

  • Liquifying the sun (2024/2025) by Anica Huck (DE): 1 gram gold (connected to her multi-channel video installation and lidar forest print on marble)
  • Pareidolia Earth: Fading Species (2024) by Daniel Rosero (CO): part of print on cellulose acetat (connected to his stereoscopic particle cloud simulation)
  • Estranged Bodies (2024) by Sock Redding (GB/NZ): punch hole of fabric print (connected to their generated visuals of the work “Other Bodies”)

The three art works are jointly encapsulated in a 3D printed chamber designed and printed by Fransisca Tan (AT).
