The Eurobarometer survey on ‘European citizens’ knowledge and attitudes towards science and technology’ released in 2021 clearly shows the science scepticism of Austrian citizens. Only half of our population (48%) seems to think that scientific research is necessary and should be supported by the government, a dire outlook for our educational system and the basis of what can also be considered to securing the idea of democracy.

Amongst others, this encouraged me to follow the repeated calls to sharing my curiosity and inspiration I find in the scientific process and sharing this playful attitude towards learning as a science communicator and knowledge facilitator for Wissensraum by Science Center Netzwerk.

Formats: basic science learning, maker lab facilitation (3D modelling and printing, programming with scratch & microbits, stitching machine coding) and tinkering workshops.
